Freehold pays tribute to Manzi

FREEHOLD, NJ – – Freehold Raceway paid tribute to Cat Manzi on Saturday with a Winner’s Circle ceremony following the sixth race. Manzi just completed his first North American Dash Championship with 727 wins. Of those, 483 were at Freehold Raceway.
As part of the ceremony, Freehold General Manager Don Codey presented Manzi with a 37” LCD flat screen TV as a reward and recognition of his accomplishment.
Manzi, who resides in Freehold, NJ, at 55 years of age is the oldest driver to claim the dash championship.
In late December, Manzi was voted 2005 Driver of the Year by the United States Harness Writers’ Association.
