Freshman fillies take Sire Stakes stage at Pocono

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Pedigree Snob posted the fastest winning time in Pennsylvania Sire Stakes action on Tuesday afternoon (August 19) at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

Pedigree Snob (Allamerican Native-Hallmark Hanover), driven by Tim Tetrick for trainer Jim Arledge, Jr., dominated a field of 2-year-old pacing fillies in 1:53.3. The winner of the Sweetheart final earlier this season at The Meadowlands, Pedigree Snob now has $307,795 in earnings just six races into her career.

There were seven Sire Stakes divisions for the freshman filly pacers held at Pocono Tuesday. The purses ranged from $34,941 to $35,242.

Other Sire Stakes winners on the afternoon were Dagnabit Hanover (Allamerican Native-Dashaway Hanover), trained by Randy Bendis and driven by Dave Palone, in 1:53.4; Hawaiian Drink (I Am A Fool-B Passionate), trained by Mark Harder and driven by Palone, in 1:53.4; Tuppence Hanover (Western Hanover-Traci’s Free Ride), trained by Dan Altmeyer and driven by Mike Wilder, in 1:58.3; Melissa’s Fancy (Blissfull Hall-Everything’s Easy), trained by Eddie Dennis and driven by Palone, in 1:54.2; Girls Nite Out (Four Starzzz Shark-Before Sunrise), trained by Ross Croghan and driven by John Campbell, in 1:53.4; and Decided By A Neck (Four Starzzz Shark-Decider), trained by Jeffrey Indof and driven by Larry Stalbaum, in 1:56.3.
