Future Destiny a decisive winner

Harrington, DE — K&R Racing, Teague Inc., Double Down Stables and George Foreman’s Future Destiny ($3.80) was a decisive 1:54.2 winner in the co-featured $13,700 Mares Junior Open on Tuesday (May 8) at Harrington Raceway.

Jim Morand piloted Future Destiny to the 1:54.2 victory.

Driven by Jim Morand, the 4-year-old Artiscape mare was sent to the front from post six where she would set fractions of :27.1, :56.3, and 1:25.3. She held off pocket sitting Millwood Ashley N, who finished second, and Ideal Coast for the win. Trained by George Teague, it was the second win in five starts this year for ‘Destiny.’

In the other Mares Junior Open division, Amy Warrington’s Isn’t She Fancy ($66.20) rallied three-wide and surged by late to win at 30-1. Driven by Jim King, Jr., the 6-year-old daughter of Grinfromeartoear picked up her fourth win of the year. Bay Express N was second, while Sixteen Candles was third.

Tony Morgan won four races on the program.

Racing resumes Wednesday with a 5:30 p.m. post time.
