EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Future Destiny [$2.80, $2.40, $2.10] held on for a nose victory over the closing effort of One Ace Too Many [$4.60, $2.10] in the second race, the $20,000 Thomas N. D’Altrui Miss New Jersey Prep, on Friday night at the Meadowlands.

Ideal Weather [$2.10] was third by one length.

The 1:52 mile was a lifetime mark for Future Destiny.

With only six entrants, all of the three-year-old New Jersey-sired fillies in the prep advance to the $175,000 final on May 27.

Ron Pierce drove Future Destiny, a daughter of Artiscape – Future Millbank, to victory for trainer and co-owner George Teague.

Teague, his sister, Brenda and K&R Racing LLC, all of Houston, Delaware, sold a share to two sports stars from other fields – football’s Wayne Chrebet [Double Down Stables] and boxing’s George Foreman.

Unraced at two, Future Destiny has five wins, two seconds and one third from eight starts this year, banking $119,672. She has already won two stakes finals at the Meadowlands – the $64,000 Tender Loving Care on February 24 and the $70,790 Blossom on April 19.
