Ft. Washington, MD — After winning last week’s edition of the top-level pace for fillies and mares for a purse of $6,500, Gen-U-Wine Raider will try to repeat as the 9-5 morning line choice on Saturday night (November 17) at Rosecroft Raceway.

Trained by Thomas Swann, the 6-year-old Keystone Raider mare won by a nose in 1:55.3 last time out against similar stock from post position eight. This week, Gen-U-Wine Raider will start from post position four with Frank Milby in the sulky. With over $105,000 banked in lifetime earnings, Gen-U-Wine Raider races for owners Julie and Lois Swann.

You Diehl can also be considered at 2-1 morning line odds from the rail. Finishing second against Gen-U-Wine Raider last week, the 4-year-old Western Ideal mare has been showing consistent improvement with each start. Co-owned by Richard Smith and trainer Ron MacArthur, You Diehl has a lifetime mark of 1:54 set at Rosecroft this year. Donnie Russell will again drive the mare.

Gorgeous Lover (John Wagner), Grace Of Hearts (Kelly Staten), Badlands Cowgirl (Billy Mann) and Adelias Girl (Timmy Offutt) round out the field.

Post time for Saturday’s 14-race card is 7:20 p.m.
