Campbellville, ON — Cruising to a three length victory in last week’s C$18,000 opener for the Town Pro Pacing Series for 3-year-old fillies makes Go Get Her the one to watch when the second leg is contested on Monday night (July 7) at Mohawk.

Go Get Her has won three races in 2008, with $28,080 in season’s earnings.

Mark Austin trains the daughter of Western Hanover, who is riding a three-race win streak going into her division of the second go-round (race six, post time 9:04 p.m.). Having snagged the inside post position, which should suit her front-running style, she’s rated at 4-5 in the morning line.

Go Get Her struggled a bit in her freshman year, scoring only one win in 11 starts (though she still managed to earn $93,623). But the filly, owned by Michael Cecile, is blossoming as a sophomore, accumulating three wins and a third in five starts so far in 2008.

Also getting attention from the odds-makers is Casie Coleman trainee Unique Legacy, who captured her division of the Town Pro opener last Monday by overtaking Lola Palooza in a late rush. Bred and owned by Robert Hamather, this filly by Real Desire has also been impressive this spring, adding six wins and a second in nine starts to her resume. She’ll be leaving from post five in the second of the three splits (race four, post time 8:22 p.m.).

In the first of the three Town Pro contests (race two, post time 7:40 p.m.), homebred Tim Pinske pupil Lizabel has been made the 7-5 favorite. A solid second to Go Get Her last week, Lizabel is by the Illinois sire Cole Muffler and learned the ropes in her freshman year at Hawthorne Racecourse before making the move to Mohawk this May.

In all, 24 fillies are vying for the 10 spots in the C$60,000 final scheduled for July 14.
