Nichols, NY — Golden Falcon N posted her seventh victory of the year in the $15,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace on Friday night (May 23) at Tioga Downs.

Golden Falcon N posted a narrow victory over Besmitten By A Vet in 1:53.4.

Corey Braden drove the 9-year-old Falcon Seelster mare for trainer Paul Bernardo to a 1:53.4 front-end score. Besmitten By A Vet and Mike Simons just missed with the two hole trip and had to settle for second, while Pantomimist and Jim Morrill, Jr. were third.

With the victory, Golden Falcon N increased her seasonal bankroll to more than $41,000 for the Berry Stables.

Jimmy Marohn, Jr. and Howard Parker each had two wins on the night’s 10-race card.

Tioga continues its weekend of racing action on Saturday, May 24, with a post time of 6:50 p.m. and hosts the $500,000 Empire Breeders Classic Finals for 3-year-old New York bred pacers on Sunday, May 25, with a post time of 1:15 p.m. There will be a barbeque for all horsemen that participate at Tioga Downs immediately following the races on Sunday in the Tioga Tent.
