Tony Hall held off Eric Goodell and Tim Tetrick to win the inaugural East Meets West Battle of Pennsylvania drivers challenge at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs on Friday. The challenge featured drivers from Pocono and fellow Pennsylvania track The Meadows.

Hall won the first race of the eight-race challenge aboard Dangerous Truth to take the early point lead, and held that lead all the way. Goodell and Tetrick, who each won two of the eight races, finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Hall needed a 3rd place finish in the final from Queens Best King to outpoint Goodell 178-172 and earn the first-prize bonus of $11,000. Goodell picked up $9,000 for 2nd and Tetrick $7,000 for 3rd.

Also competing and earning prize money were David Palone (4th, $5000), Mike Wilder (5th, $4,000), Tom Jackson (6th, $3,000), Jim Taggart Jr. (7th, $2,000) and Mike Simons (8th, $1,000).

The drivers donated their purse money for the competition to a fund established on behalf of the son of the late Amy Comly. Comly owned and trained horses at Pocono until her death earlier this year.
