Wilkes-Barre, PA — Not one in a million, but Hesoneinamillion is among the seven fastest horses all-time at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

The 4-year-old Real Artist gelding won the $20,000 Open Handicap Pace for the third consecutive week on Saturday (September 8), stopping the timer in 1:50 flat.

The 1:50 clocking is the seventh fastest all-time mile recorded at the five-eighths-mile track and tied the track mark for a 4-year-old pacing gelding, established July 21 when Tim Tetrick won with Four Starz Sue. Tetrick also drove Hesoneinamillion.

Hesoneinamillion, trained by Carmine Fusco and owned by R&G Stables Limited of New York, and Brian Wallach and Howard Jacobs of New Jersey, had to overcome the assigned seven post in the race.

After the opening stanza was clicked off in :26.2, Tetrick piloted Hesoneinamillion to the front, taking the seven-horse field to the half in :54.1 and three-quarters in 1:21.3.

Srixon, driven by Larry Stalbaum, was second in the race with newcomer Anglebrook (Eric Goodell) third.

Hesoneinamillion was winning for the eighth time in 26 starts in 2007 with four seconds and four third-place finishes. The horse has earned more than $84,000 this season.

This marked the 11th time in 2007 that a track mark has either been equaled or broken.
