Pompano Beach, FL — It was as if she actually did have hypnotic powers over her rivals as Hypnotize ($3.40) was once again able to lull her rivals to sleep as she coasted to a 1:53.2 triumph on Friday (May 23) in the $12,000 Winner’s Over Mares Pace at Pompano Park.

Hypnotize and driver Dan Clements won the $12,000 Winner’s Over Mares Pace in 1:53.2.

Driven by Dan Clements, Hypnotize posted her fourth win of the season with an easy two length triumph over Stonebridge Capri (Bruce Ranger) and Mary Artman (Wally Hennessey).

Stonebridge Capri was the first on the lead in the featured seventh race by the opening quarter in :27.3. But Clements already had Hypnotize in high gear as they took command and never gave it up, going to the half in :57, then the three-quarters in 1:25.4 as they held the field at bay.

It was the 30th career victory for Hypnotize, a 6-year-old mare by Artiscape, from the Falcon Seelster mare Sleep All Day. Trained by Jim Mattison, Hypnotize is owned by the Diffenback, Mattison and Mack Stables.

Driver Dan Clements had the hot hands Friday, winning three races on the program.
