Ft. Washington, MD — Imhotep, an eight-year-old gelded son of Pacific Rocket, is the 8-5 early choice in the featured $6,800 claming handicap pace at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday, November 12.

Owned by John Wagner and Michael Ternisky, Imhotep drew the rail in a field of five. The gelding, trained by Manley Brown, Jr., most recently competed at Colonial Downs and set a lifetime mark of 1:51.3 on October 29 in a non-winners conditioned event.

Second choice, at 2-1, is Shown Armour’s Regal Regency. The seven-year-old Village Jiffy gelding was sent to Freehold Raceway during the month-long break at Rosecroft and finished third his last start in 1:57.2. Jonathan Roberts is set to drive and the pair will face the starter in post position three.

Allamerican Index (Frank Milby, 9-2), Biojoba (Sean Bier, 6-1) and GE’s Greg (Donnie Russell, 9-2) round out the field.

Post time for the 12 race card is set for 7:20 p.m. Grandstand admission will be waived for all patrons who donate a canned food item during the entire month of November. All proceeds will be donated to Mission Of Love, Inc. of Prince George’s County.
