International Trot video: Meet Obrigado

from the USTA Communications Department

Columbus, OH — As the 2016 International Trot approaches, the SOA of NY and Yonkers Raceway would like the fans to get to know the competitors that make up this year’s talented field, as well as some of the history that makes the International Trot a coveted prize worldwide.

In the second 2016 International Trot video installment, get to know U.S. representative Obrigado, a talented trotter from a modest background who has risen to the top of the FFA trotting ranks in North America. Hear from trainer Paul Kelley what makes Obrigado so special and what an International Trot victory would mean to him.

Check out the complete 2016 International Trot Playlist on YouTube for more videos and updates, including an inside look at France’s most popular trotter and second place finisher in the 2015 International Trot, Timoko, and his connections as they wish the 2016 competitors good luck and remember their experience racing in the U.S. Unfortunately, Timoko will miss the 2016 International Trot as he returns from a break.
