Invader Hall looks for second straight

DOVER, DE — Invader Hall leads the $25,000 claiming pace feature on Saturday, January 24 at Dover Downs. Post time is 5:30 p.m.

Invader Hall is favored in the Saturday feature at Dover.

In the $25,000 claiming pace, Harness The Power’s Invader Hall (Jim Morand) won last week as well as four of his last five races. Meanwhile, Mike Horn and Lionel Wirick’s Robust Rock A (Hal Belote) has won two in a row while Louie Paglierani’s On The Tee (Les Givens) has been victorious in two of his last three trips behind the gate.

Their challengers include Matt Webb and Jan Kovach’s Art By Keene (Brad Hanners) and Gary Wolf’s Watch Hill (Kevin Sizer).

Saturday’s secondary feature is a $20,000 Delaware claiming pace led by Wayne Pryor and Doc & Me Inc.’s Smooth Trickster N (Ricky Still) and Rodney Mitchell’s Harold Abbe N (Eddie Davis).

Another semi-feature, a $12,000 Delaware pace, is led by Teague Inc. and Kovach Stables’ Potomac Affair (Ross Wolfenden).

On Sunday, a pair of emerging pacers, Don Hawk, John Hynansky and trainer Dan Warrington’s Racsan John (Herve Filion) and Rojan Stable and Doc & Me Inc.’s Up Front Hanover (Ross Wolfenden), both winners last week, meet in one of two $14,500 feature paces.

In the other, Dave Clayville’s Global Scale, Jeff Fuller’s new arrival Sandy’s Playboy and Kal Liebowitz’s Truly Signful (Eddie Davis, Jr.) are among the eight contenders.

In a $12,000 event, Peter Tritton’s Franco New Deal N (Steve Warrington) and Baldachino, Outten and Green Racing’s The Cammissioner (Jim Morand) are the horses to beat.
