Jazebel De Vie takes first leg of NJSS Green Acres

Manalapan, NJ — Freehold held its first leg of NJSS Green Acres for 3-year-old filly trotters this afternoon, Friday (Sept. 9). The third race consisted of six New Jersey-bred filly trotters competing for a purse of $7,000.

The 4-5 favorite Jazebel De Vie wired the field in 1:58.3. She was followed by Coco Truffles and Southwind Venus, who after a costly break, rallied to finish third.

This is the third victory for the Henrik Lundell trained Jazebel De Vie. The Muscles Yankee filly is owned and bred by Joie De Vie Farms LLC of Jobstown, N.J.

She increased her lifetime earnings to $45,353.

Southwind Venus, a daughter of Muscle Hill, was bred by Southwind Farms of Pennington, N.J.

The second leg of the NJSS Green Acres for 3-year-old filly trotters is scheduled for Friday (Sept. 16) at Freehold Raceway.
