Jenna’s Choice coasts to victory in 1st leg of Robert Suslow

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – April 8, 2005 – Jenna’s Choice [$3.60, $3.20, $3.20] coasted to victory in the $22,500 opening leg of the three-week Robert J. Suslow Series, the third race on Friday night at the Meadowlands.

Jenna’s Choice now has four wins in 11 starts this year.


The three-year-old gelded son of Jenna’s Beach Boy paced the mile in 1:51.1.

Trained by Mark Silva and driven by Brian Sears, Jenna’s Choice won by two and a half lengths over Mega Hall [$13.60, $7.00]. It was four and a quarter lengths to Robin of Locksley [$4.40] in third.

This year, Jenna’s Choice has already won the $95,000 Junior Trendsetter Final on February 26 and the $104,450 Matt’s Scooter Final on March 25.

Silva, Clifford Pattick of Montvale, New Jersey and Daniel Borgo of Randolph, New Jersey own Jenna’s Choice, who now has four wins in 11 starts this year.

John Campbell celebrated his 50th birthday, guiding Burning Point to her first win in eight starts this year.

In the co-featured fifth race, a $30,000 condition pace for fillies and mares, Hall of Famer John Campbell celebrated his 50th birthday, guiding $1.2 million earner Burning Point to her first win in eight starts this year, finishing a length and three-quarters ahead of Hanover Chance in 1:50.3. Glowing Report, another millionaire-mare, was interfered with in the stretch and placed fourth in her 2005 debut.
