CAMPBELLVILLE, August 22, 2006 – Hall of Fame jockey Pat Day will be at Mohawk signing autographs Friday evening, August 25.

The one-hour autograph session will take place in the Mohawk grandstand from 7:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.

Day, who rode to over 8,800 wins during his career in the irons, will also be making a cooler presentation to the winner of Friday evening’s second race.

Day is a four-time Eclipse Award winner (as outstanding jockey) who captured the Preakness Stakes five times (1985, 1990, 1994-96), Belmont Stakes three times (1989, 1994, 2000) and the Kentucky Derby once (1992).

In 1991, Day, who is the only jockey to have ridden at least one mount in each of the first 20 Breeders’ Cups, won the Canadian Triple Crown and the Breeders’ Cup Distaff aboard the future Hall of Fame filly Dance Smartly.

Day retired from his 32-year riding career in 2005 after piloting the winners of just under $298-million in U.S. purse earnings.
