With quarter times of :31, 1:02.3, and 1:32.2, Montanajamesbond jumped to the lead early and kept it until Ackbro Crazylegs (John Cummings, Jr.) gave him a run for his money just around the three-quarter pole. Shortly before the stretch, Montanajamesbond turned on the jets and trotted away to win by 3-1/2 lengths. Coming in for the place was Kevin Cummings and Giant Villian. With the show was Ackbro Crazylegs.

Rivers Edge Jim is owned and trained by Steven Pratt along with James Ackley. The winning price of the second stakes race was $3.10.
