Saint John, NB — Knight Stalker N, owned and driven by Mike Downey, captured Saturday’s top class at Exhibition Park Raceway.

It was the second win of the season for the horse, winning in 1:59 over the half-mile oval. Knight Stalker paced his last quarter in :28⁴ as he held off a late charge by Bev C Down, while Longshots Shane rounded out the top three.

Mike Stevenson and Steve Mahar both visited the winner’s circle on two occasions. Mahar won with Black Snaker in 2:06² and Raw Deal in a new record of 2:04¹. Stevenson connected with Johnney Six in 2:03 and put a season’s mark on My Buddy Mark, winning in 2:02⁴.

It was the first live card since January 2nd and the next live card of racing will go on Saturday, March 25th. Post time is at 1:00 p.m.
