Harrington, DE — It was a record setting day for driver Tony Morgan on Tuesday, June 17, at Harrington Raceway. The 50-year-old reinsman not only drove Joyce, Kathleen and Linda Sue Keeler’s Ladyfield ($3.00) to a new world record of 1:51.4 for older mares on a half-mile track, but he also set a record for most wins on one card at Harrington with nine.

The previous mark of seven was shared by Morgan, Brad Hanners and Brandon Givens.

For Ladyfield, she broke Toy Dragon’s world record mark of 1:52, which was also set at Harrington in 2006. Ladyfield, a 5-year-old Armbro Cadet mare, set the fractions and came a last quarter of :27.3 to set the new record for trainer Vic Keeler II.

Also on the program were three $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) first leg events for 3-year-old pacing fillies. Ashley’s Lucky Lady (1:56.3, Eddie Davis, Jr.), Pink Sweater (1:57.2, Jon Roberts) and Fire And Ice (1:56, Morgan) each won their respective divisions.
