Driven by Brian Sears, Light Up The Sky ($2.80, $2.40, $2.10) raced greenly down the backstretch as he surged to the lead, but regained his momentum rounding the far turn and went on to a game victory over In Over My Head and Yanzhou in a time of 1:54.3. In Over My Head rallied strongly late to finish second, a neck behind the winner after lacking room on the far turn. It was another neck back to Yanzhou in third.

It was the fourth win in a row for the George Teague trainee who improved his career record to 4-1-0 in five starts. The son of Four Starzzz Shark-Far Ahead Hanover boosted his career earnings to $32,750 for owner George Teague Jr. Inc.

In the second division of the Junior Trendsetter it was Cole Hard Cash coming up victorious with a late rally down the stretch. With driver Daniel Dube, Cole Hard Cash finished the night’s sixth race in 1:53.1. Hypnotic Blue Chip was second and Cutty Shark finished third.
