Little Miss can’t do wrong in Simpson

Lexington, KY — Little Miss Dragon posted a 1:50.2 win in her $31,300 division of the John Simpson Memorial at The Red Mile on Friday night, September 21.

After making $383,375 last year at 2, Little Miss Dragon continues to show more talent as the daughter of Dragon Again put up her third straight win and a new lifetime mark with John Campbell aboard. Adam Victor and Son Stable own the Noel Daley trainee.

Rune put up a career-best 1:52.1 win in his $33,125 Simpson division for 3-year-old colt trotters.

Rune trots to a speedy 1:52.1 win in his John Simpson Memorial division at The Red Mile.

After consecutive losses to Donato Hanover in the Canadian Trotting Classic elimination and final, and the World Trotting Derby, Rune scored for the third time this year for driver Marcus Johansson, trainer Jimmy Takter and the ownership team of Christina Takter, John Fielding, J. Glen Brown, Mal Burroughs and Janet Burroughs.

A colt by Yankee Glide, Rune is a full brother to $820,791 winner Solveig.

Bayside Volo trotted strongly to a 1:54.4 win in his $33,125 Simpson split for driver Mike Lachance. A Yankee Glide gelding, Bayside Volo is trained by Anne Schlichtig for owner Richard Schwartz.

Vaudeville Margie took her $30,800 Simpson split in a lifetime-best 1:51.2 for driver Andy Miller and trainer Erv Miller. Western Hanover-sired Vaudeville Margie is out of Incredible Tillie, a mare the brothers Miller campaigned to a perfect 12-for-12 2-year-old season. Erv Miller co-owns Vaudeville Margie with Joe Tuftie and Michael and Randy Wilt.

The Red Mile championship meet will continue on Saturday and Sunday nights at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday night, two-time Kentucky Sires Stakes champ Digital Z Tam will go for consecutive win number eight in his Simpson division.
