Live racing at The Meadows resumes Oct. 3

Washington, PA — Following a three-week break, live racing at The Meadows Racetrack & Casino resumes Monday (Oct. 3) with a card that features a pair of Keystone Classic stakes worth an estimated $181,000.

The Meadows will race three days per week — Monday, Tuesday, Saturday — in October and will add Wednesday programs for November and December. In addition, the track will offer a special Christmas-week card Thursday (Dec. 22).

Each card will include a $5,000 total-pool guarantee for the Pick-4 wager, races four-seven.

First post for each remaining 2016 program is 1 p.m.

The October line-up features a rich menu of stakes races, with total purses estimated at more than $900,000. In addition to the re-opening day events, the stakes include:

  • Tuesday (Oct. 4)—$140,000 (est.) Keystone Classic
  • Saturday (Oct. 8)—$160,000 Pennsylvania Fairs Championships
  • Saturday (Oct. 15)—$425,000 (est.) Keystone Classic
