Toronto, ON — Woodbine Racetrack will host its deepest stakes final of the young stakes season this Friday night (April 13) as 10 talented 3-year-old colt pacers will line up for the C$59,800 final of the Youthful Series.

The event, which was open to non-winners of three races or C$15,000 lifetime, showcased five divisions in the two preliminary rounds which produced five different winners. In Saturday’s final, no less than five Pepsi North America Cup eligibles will take part.

One of those competitors is In The Irons, who is looking for his second consecutive series win after capturing the C$50,000 Apaches Fame Final on March 23 at Woodbine. The son of Mach Three-Easter Lace won his division in last week’s second round in 1:53.1 after bypassing the first leg.

In The Irons is trained by co-owner Randy Hill and has regular pilot Phil Hudon listed to drive from post eight.

Conditioner Blair Burgess sends out the entry of I’ll Be Seeing You and Tell All. The latter is another who is eligible to the Pepsi N.A. Cup in June. He skipped last week’s second leg of the series after an impressive 1:53.2 maiden-breaking win in the opening round. He has drawn post nine in the final with Jody Jamieson expected to drive.

As was the case with Tell All, Cam Cool (Pepsi N.A. Cup eligible, post 10) and Trimline (post 2) opted to skip last week’s second round after winning the previous week. The other winner in leg two was Gascon Hanover, who scored first-over for Rick Zeron in 1:54.1.

The other N.A. Cup eligibles who will contest Saturday’s final include Radio City and Transcending, who finished second in both preliminary legs.

Past winners of the Youthful Series include Rambaran ($1,121,332), Quality Western ($833,283) and this past Saturday’s Spring Pacing Championship winner Stormaway ($346,982).
