Manzi is sport’s oldest $6 million man

by Bob Heyden

East Rutherford, NJ — Cat Manzi, with earnings of $6,020,706 as of Monday (September 18), has become the oldest driver in the sport to pass the $6 million plateau.

Manzi’s 2006 earnings mark the third highest total of his career, as well as the highest single season total for a driver over 55.

Interstingly enough, the three biggest years of Cat’s career have come at ages 54-55-56. The three biggest years of Ron Pierce’s career have come at 48-49-50. The three biggest years of Brian Sears’ career have come at 36-37-38.

Something for men of all ages — but all coming in the years 2004-05-06.
