Rain Dance Kim looks to make it two straight in the Mares Open Handicap Pace at Dover.

A week ago, Travis Bowman guided Jeffrey Franklin’s Rain Dance Kim from sixth at the three-quarters to a neck victory in 1:542 in the feature. Florence Nitkowski’s Cams Little Imp N with Ross Wolfenden had taken the lead briefly and hung on for second.

Trillium Racing’s Whitley’s Scooter arrives from the Meadowlands and will be driven by Herve Filion. Betty Brittingham’s Chocolate Square, driven by Bret Brittingham, steps up after consecutive wins in the Winners Over class.

The contentious field includes Niss Allen Inc.’s Ann Other Porsche with Brad Hanners, Akowskey, Ehrhart, Korn and Kross’ Time Frame N, coupled with Eddie Davis, William Moffett’s Nuclear Power, second in her last two starts, who drew the rail with Jim King driving and Wendy Crissman and 49 Racing Stable’s Crossfire N, piloted by Mike Cole.

In the $15,000 Mares Winners Over Pace, John Sixt and Judith Blaun’s Hugs Fanci (Steve Warrington) drops down in class and has the rail. Extravagant Sahbra (Travis Bowman) and George Brem’s Jett Away (Bret Brittingham) each were victorious last time out. William Moffett’s Love A Lab (Ross Wolfenden), Roger Hammer’s RN Artist and Wilson and Jeff Clark’s Rondel Franco N (Brad Hanners) have been racing well. Bettyjane Corey’s Love That Hall (Bob Corey) and Wayne Pryor and Doc & Me Inc.’s recent addition Pastrami Hanover are the other starters.

Eight go to post in the day’s featured trot, a $10,000 affair. Brandrew Racing and Club Risque Stable’s Crown Pro (Herve Filion) was a just-miss second last time. Toby Lynch’s My Royal Aim and Private Pennant, owned by Massina Stables and driver Mark Lancaster, lead the opposition.
