McArdle Park captures $35,000 Green Acres Final

Freehold, NJ — McArdle Park ($5.80, $2.40, $2.40) powered by Dontloseyourdayjob ($2.60, $2.80) in the stretch to win the $35,000 New Jersey Sires Stakes Green Acres Final for 2-year-old pacing colts and geldings, the sixth race on Friday afternoon (October 5) at Freehold Raceway.

The son of McArdle paced the mile in a lifetime best of 1:54.4, two-fifths of a second off the Green Acres record for 2-year-old pacing colts set last month by Dontloseyourdayjob.

Dontloseyourdayjob was 2-1/4 lengths back in second. It was 2-3/4 lengths to In Ethan’s Honor ($5.40) in third. Both are sons of Life Sign.

McArdle Park, driven by Jeff Gregory and trained by Jerry Silverman, now has four wins and two seconds in eight starts this year and earnings of $40,226 for Robin and Steven Arnold of Purchase, N.Y., and Shari Gluckman of New York City.

The first foal of Sunset Palace was a $25,000 Harrisburg Yearling Sale purchase.
