Driver David Miller picked up a pair of wins in the Senior Trendsetter Series as the Meadowlands kicked off its first Sunday matinee of the 2007 season.

Miller steered Woodbine shipper Tiger Tinch [$10.20, $6.40, $5.60] to a 1:51 victory in the third race, the second of four $12,500 Senior Trendsetters on the card. Owned and trained by Dan Ater of Clarksburg, Ohio, Tiger Tinch notched his first win in six starts this season with a length and a quarter tally over Cam’s Accord [$6.40]. Yankee Lance [$3.20] completed the trifecta.

A four-year-old gelding by Towner’s Big Guy, Tiger Tinch improved his career totals to 10 wins in 35 starts and $55,018 in earnings.

Miller was back in the winner’s circle in the eighth race with Natural Talent [$3.60, $3.00, $2.40]. The four-year-old Nobleland Sam gelding easily wired the field in 1:52.4 for his second win of the year. Quickful Bliss [$6.80, $5.20] was second, while Sony Hanover [$2.80] grabbed the show spot.

Trained by Bo Boudon, Natural Talent was an astute $25,000 claim on December 13, 2006 by owners John Fodera, Martha Frank, Anthony Ferrara and Steven Wienick. In his six starts for his new ownership, Natural Talent has racked up four wins, one second and one third, equal to $45,520 in earnings.

The other Senior Trendsetter winners were Category Six, who coasted to a 1:52.4 win for driver Dan Dube and trainer Ron Coyne Jr. in the first race, and Crawdad, an impressive first-over winner in the eighth race for the driving and training team of brothers Andy and Erv Miller.
