HARRINGTON, Del. – Kathleen Stafford and Richard MacLeish’s Ain’t Goin Back earned her second straight win in the Miss Harrington series Thursday at Harrington Raceway in 1:58.1.

Driven by trainer Ben Stafford Jr., it didn’t look good early for the Jenna’s Beach Boy filly as Vital Flyte was on the lead setting a pedestrian like pace of 30.4, 1:01.2 and 1:30.2. However, for the second straight start, Ain’t Goin Back unleashed a blazing last quarter and drew clear by a length.

Vital Flyte was second with Badlands Cowgirl third.

In the second division, Gemini Racing’s Crystal Bliss (Jim Morand) found room up the passing lane for a 1:57.3 win. It was one of three wins on the card for Morand. And in the third and final division, William Moffett’s Front Tier Power set all the fractions and held off Jackies Shuffle in the stretch for a 1:58 triumph. The $38,000 final will be contested on May 12.

Meanwhile, two divisions of the second leg of the Magician series for trotters were also carded as Ed and George Hobbs Sweet Apple Annie (Eddie Dennis) took advantage of an early miscue from heavily favored Mark to win in 2:00.3. Later, Delbert Cain’s Go Sassy Go won her sixth straight race in 2:02.3 in the second split.

The $32,500 final will also be held on May 12.
