, ON – Casie Coleman trainee, Moving Pictures, toyed with her competition again tonight in the C$393,750 Milton Stakes final for older pacing fillies and mares at Mohawk.

Sweeping into the lead at the 3/8 pole and accelerating away from the field tonight, she and driver Mark MacDonald easily bested a determined Southwind Madonna by four lengths to win in 1:50.2, just two-fifths of a second off the stakes record. Armbro Dancer stepped up for third and Invitro was declared fourth in a photo, while elimination winner To Helen Back was never a factor.

Coming off a win in the Breeders Crown Open Mare Pace, the daughter of D M Dilinger-Killer Queen continues to go from strength to strength in her 4-year-old season and was awarded a bye into the Milton Stakes final based on her earnings. With the victory Moving Pictures brought her lifetime earnings tidily over the $1 million mark.

Coleman commented, “She’s such a tough mare and she’s been racing tough all season. She deserves to get to the million dollar mark by doing it with a win. She raced great to get it.

“We’re probably going to shut her down now for the season and get her ready for a big season next year.”

Co-owner Steve Calhoun, of Chatham, Ontario, noted, “To win four big stakes races in one year with a mare like this is really a dream come true. We’re going to be counting the days till she’s back, for sure!”
