Mylittlerebel scored in 1:56.4 for driver Randy Waples.

With Randy Waples in the driver’s seat, the daughter of Camluck-Highland Dancing made a quarter-pole move to the front and then cruised to a 1:56.4 score in the opening C$20,000 contest. CC Dreamer enjoyed a pocket trip to finish second with Real Heart rallying to pick up third.

Mylittlerebel has now won two straight in the series and is four-for-eight lifetime for owners Stephen Scarff and the Turnkey Stables. The Murray Brethour trainee improved her career earnings to $29,688.

The second division produced an upset with Bath Beach posting a sharp off-the-pace victory for driver Chris Christoforou in 1:56.4. The daughter of Life Sign-Lady With A Future upended race favorite Wish All You Want with last week’s other divisional winner, Artists Dynasty, rounding out the top three.

It was a lifetime-best performance for Bath Beach who is trained by Dean Nixon for owners Iris and Harry Horowitz and Mary Friest. The victory was her second in just five lifetime trips postward.

The C$45,000 Miss Vera Bars Series Final will go postward next Thursday night, Feb. 12, from Woodbine.
