Freehold, NJ — The North American Amateur Drivers Associations returned to Freehold Raceway this past Saturday (May 4) for a leg of their series which culminates in a $14,000 final at Yonkers Raceway on Thursday (May 23). The group will be back to Freehold this Saturday (May 11).

In addition to driving in the fifth race at Freehold Raceway on Saturday, Joe Faraldo, president of NAADA, delivered a check in the amount of $1,000 to a local charity, Special Strides of Monroe, N.J.
Special Strides is a non-profit organization devoted to improving the lives of children with developmental disabilities. With a unique combination of horses, therapy, and a touch of magic, Special Strides is able to achieve therapeutic goals in an atmosphere that is both challenging and fun.
“The check comes at the most opportune time,” said Laurie Landy, the founder and executive president of the organization. “We are just getting ready to announce our scholarship recipients and this money will definitely help. We service 130 individuals and award $120,000 in scholarship funds. We are very grateful to the NAADA for their generosity and support.”
Also representing the group in the winner’s circle was a fellow student/rider, Charolete Pacelli, along with her father, Don.
