by Bob Marks

It is with heavy heart we report the passing of millionairess and world champion Nadia Lobell who was humanely euthanized on Saturday December 23rd following a prolonged struggle with laminitis.

Nadia Lobell in many ways forecasted the nuclear explosion that emanated from her sire No Nukes becoming his first superstar performer from his very fist crop winning the 1986 Sweetheart Stake at a time when it was the preeminent event for freshman pacing fillies offering a purse of $915,000.

As a broodmare Nadia Lobell produced the 1:50 performers Odds On Dana and the still active Whodunit, both by Artiscape. She is best known for her Artiscape son Articulator.

She is survived at the farm by her eldest daughter Naraculous. In addition, Naraculous’ Blissfull Hall daughter Blissard Of Oz is also in residence at the farm.

Nadia Lobell was not in foal at the time of passing but will consign a filly by Red River Hanover to the fall sales.
