Napolitano wins six at Pocono

Wilkes-Barre, PA — George Napolitano, Jr., the leading driver and trainer at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, collected six driving wins and two training victories on Friday night.

One of his training wins was with Pleasing Package A, a winner of the $8,000 open handicap pace for fillies and mares. Pleasing Package A stopped the timer in 1:53.2 in winning for the seventh time in 18 starts this year with five seconds and two thirds. Good Time Stables, Inc. of West Islip, New York own Pleasing Package A. Time Flies N, another New Zealand horse, was second in this race after winning her first start at the Northeastern Pennsylvania racetrack the previous week in 1:53.3 with Sean Bier driving.

On the season, Napolitano had 243 victories going into the August 6 night of racing with 136 training wins. Mike Simons is the runner-up in the driver standings with 128 victories while Carmine Fusco is the second leading trainer with 52 wins.
