New track record at Batavia Downs

Batavia, NY – Bet to Win set a new track record for 3-year-old trotting colts and geldings Friday Night at Batavia Downs Gaming. The Credit Winner colt got up in deep stretch to win by a half-length in1:59 flat over Stunt Man Hall in the New York Sire Stake event. Jim Morrill Jr was in the sulky for trainer Larry Remmen. John Lichtenberger of New Jersey owns the new track record holder.

The previous record, set in 1987 by Napoletano and tied in 1993 by Diamond Reo, was 1:59.3.

Earlier in the evening, Hitwiththeladies lowered the track record by winning his New York Sire Stake race in 1:59.1. A 3-year-old son of Giant Hit, Hitwiththeladies also owns the track record for 2-year-olds which he set last year. Hitwiththeladies is owned by Alan McCarty of Hamburg and was driven to victory by Jim Morrill Jr.
