LATHAM, N.Y.—Harness Horse Breeders of New York State has announced that stallion registration applications for the 2006 breeding season are now available. Stallions must be registered for 2006 so that the resulting offspring may be made eligible to the rich New York Sire Stakes program and other New York-bred events.

Applications must be returned by December 1, 2005, for stallions to be advertised in the 2006 New York Sire Stakes Stallion Directory. The final deadline for new stallion registration is January 1, 2006.

Stallion owners may direct questions about the rules of eligibility or request an application for a new stallion by calling Harness Horse Breeders at 518-785-5858 or e-mailing nyss@nysirestakes.com. Applications have been mailed for stallions which were registered in New York in 2005.
