NJSS Green Acres Trot Championships slated for Freehold

Trenton, NJ — The New Jersey Sire Stakes Green Acres Championships for trotters, worth a total of $140,000, are scheduled Wednesday (Sept. 30) for 2-year-olds and Friday (Oct. 2) for 3-year-olds at Freehold Raceway.

Two sons of Yankee Glide who each won two preliminary Green Acres legs, Big Payout and Letsgo Volo, head a field of eight 2-year-olds competing in the $35,000 final for colts and geldings.

In the $35,000 final for 2-year-old trotting fillies, Reviewer, a daughter of Yankee Glide, was the top point earner with two wins and a second in the series. Also in the five-horse field is Charlotte Alber, by Muscles Yankee, with one win and two seconds in the preliminary legs.

The 3-year-old trotters competing in $35,000 Green Acres finals on Friday include three-time leg winner Nice Dream (Dream Vacation), the top point earner. Patriot De Vie (Yankee Glide) and Numismatic (Revenue S), each a winner of two legs, are also in the field of eight.

In the $35,000 final for sophomore trotting fillies, the field of eight includes two winners of two preliminary legs each, Jeansandatshirt (Self Possessed) and One Tough Girl (Muscles Yankee) competing against the top point earner Blazin Delores (Revenue S), who scored one victory to go with two second-place finishes in the preliminaries.
