One of Michigan’s leading trotting sires will be heading to the Sunshine State for the 2005 breeding season.

Pine Tar, whose first crop of yearlings hit the sales ring this fall, will be moving from Michigan to Florida to stand stud for the 2005 breeding season, owner Mark Pfeiffer said today. Pfeiffer said that the stallion’s announced 2005 stud fee of $1,200 will not change with the impending move.

The grand-looking son of Pine Chip will stand at Pfeiffer’s Ocala, Florida farm. In 2004, Pine Tar was bred to 27 mares according to USTA records.
