Bella Dolce won her third straight race on Friday with a 1:55.4 score in the OSS Gold eliminations.

The New Zealand native clicked first with Bella Dolce who was following up on her convincing win in the Canadian Breeders Championships on July 26 at Mohawk. The daughter of Kadabra-Pizza Dolce has now rattled off three consecutive victories after going 0-for-6 to start the campaign.

Bella Dolce rallied from off the pace this week for driver Paul MacDonell to take her C$40,000 split in 1:55.4. Benediction Lindy was a following second with Countess Stormont landing the show spot.

The win improved her career bankroll to just over C$491,000 for owner David McDuffee.

O’Reilly also captured the second elimination with stablemate Feels Like Magic, who stopped the clock for driver Bill O’Donnell in 1:56.2. The daughter of Kadabra-Doyenne disappointed in the Canadian Breeders Championship when she squandered a beautiful third-over trip with a break in stride turning for home.

This week, O’Donnell changed up tactics and brushed her to command just past the quarter and from there she easily disposed of Kadealia and Sugar Coated Lindy.

The victory was the third in just six starts this season for Feels Like Magic who is owned by the Feels Like Magic Stable. The winner’s share of the purse increased her career earnings to just over C$150,000.

The other elimination produced a huge upset as Improper Hall rallied from off the pace to nip heavily favored Pasadena Princess right at the wire in 1:57.1. The Rob Fellows-trained daughter of Striking Sahbra-Island Bound returned a whopping $79.30 for the victory. Summerhill Abra finished third in the 10-horse field.

It was the first career victory for Improper Hall in her 11th career start. The filly is owned by Synerco Ventures Inc.

The C$120,000 Ontario Sires Stakes Gold Final will go postward next Friday night (August 8) at Mohawk.
