Toronto, ON — Nine 3-year-old filly pacers were entered this morning for the OSS Gold elimination scheduled to be contested on August 1 at Mohawk Racetrack.

The OSS rules state that if there are not more horses entered in the elimination than can compete in the final, the elimination will be cancelled and all horses will be considered declared directly into the final to be held the following week.

Therefore, the Gold elimination for 3-year-old filly pacers, scheduled for August 1 at Mohawk Racetrack, is cancelled. The C$40,000 purse for the Gold elimination will be added to the regular purse for the final, making a total Gold final purse for this event of C$170,000.

The Gold final will be held on August 8 as scheduled and the post positions will be available on Saturday, August 1, when the final would normally have been drawn.

According to the new rule this year concerning the points for the Super Final, the 100 points from the cancelled elimination will be distributed equally between the nine horses that entered the event.

The field for the final (in alphabetical order): Cheap Motel, Coming Late, Grin Goddess, Kabbalah Karen B, My Red High Heels, Narnia Seelster, Shacked Up, Take My Pulse, and Windsong Filou.
