Pair of Dancer Memorial divisions contested at Freehold

Freehold, NJ — Southwind Lynx and Tivoli Hanover won divisions of the James B. Dancer Memorial for 3-year-olds at Freehold Raceway on Saturday, October 13.

In the $134,265 first division, Tim Tetrick guided Southwind Lynx to the lead at the half and never looked back to win in 1:52.3. Finishing second was Watta Hottshot with Yannick Gingras, while Pandoras Sox (David Miller) was third. Southwind Lynx paid $4.80 to win.

Tivoli Hanover, with George Brennan, took the $137,265 second division and paid $34.80. Second was Artzina (John Campbell). Finishing third was Takeshigemichi (Daniel Dube).

Saturday marked the 32nd edition of the Dancer Memorial.

Live racing resumes on Wednesday, October 17, at the nation’s oldest and fastest half-mile harness oval. First race post is set for 12:30 p.m.
