Campbellville, ON — Pampered Princess rocked to an easy 1:55 victory in the C$531,800 Elegantimage Stakes Final for 3-year-old trotting fillies on Saturday night (June 16) at Mohawk Raceway.

The brown daughter of Andover Hall had Hall of Famer John Campbell at the lines for her second win of the season in her third try, and it was her 12th career victory overall for trainer Jimmy Takter.

“After the recall I wasn’t sure what would go on in this race,” Campbell noted. “This filly is very versatile and she’s much bigger and stronger than she was as a 2-year-old.”

Pampered Princess is owned by Bob Anderson and David Anderson. She earned $692,358 at 2, and now has over $260,000 in her bank account this season.

Pampered Princess held off both Godiva Hall (Trevor Ritchie) and Vulcanize (Ron Pierce) in the stretch, opening up on her rivals by over five lengths, after cruising through fractions of :28, :58.1 and 1:26.4.

“I think the plan is for her to race in the Del Miller as a prep for the Hambletonian or Hambletonian Oaks,” Campbell said.
