Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014

Last night I played a $4 ticket, after scratches, and had only one of the winners. Today’s Hambletonian card is strong and the guarantee for the late Pick-4 has been in increased to $75,000. I’ve hit the Pick-4 three times this meet. Championship meet totals: Standard ticket: 20 plays, -$58.40. Whale ticket: 12 plays, +$162.75.

Analysis:

Race 7: (1) Centurion ATM was strong in first start over the track. (5) Guess Whos Back has won two in a row over the track.

Race 8: (1) Amped Up Hanover has been facing tougher. (5) Dejatiero is a well bred 3-year-old that has been improving.

Race 9: (1) Sumatra was in against Father Patrick in last three starts. These trotters are much slower. (5) Outburst fits well here.

Race 10: This is a wide open trot. I’ll try three, (2) Sweet Justice, (3) D’Orsay, and my top pick, (5) Quick Deal.
