Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 8-11, Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018

After a scratch, my Pick-4 was a $12.00 play last night. I had a $29.80 top winner in the sequence but only had two of the four. Meet Totals, 1 for 10, plus $7.15.

Standard Ticket: 50-cent play: 39/78/7,10/358 = $12.00
Whale Ticket: 50-cent play: none

Analysis:

Race 8: This is a wide open sequence. (3) Sweet Beach steps up off a strong performance from post 10. (9) Awesomeness drops while sharp and I wouldn’t be surprised if he leaves this time.

Race 9: I’m going to try two here, (7) Elrama N will be a heavy favorite after racing gamely against tougher. (8) Cowboy Terrier also made my sharp list after an impressive looking win over weaker and has improved for new connections.

Race 10: This is the most wide open race in the sequence. I don’t want to spend a lot on this ticket so I trimmed it to two horses, (10) All Week, a drop down horse, and (7) Southwind General, who adds Lasix for the top barn.

Race 11: (5) Spicebomb broke in last and made up ground, now drops. (8) Rocknroll Wildcats also broke in last but is my top pick here, also dropping down, top barn.
