Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015

Last night I was oh so close but missed one race. My top pick won the seventh at 4-1 odds. I used three horses in the eighth and had the $8.60 winner, which was my third choice. In the ninth my picks were 3, 4, 6, 7 but I only used my top three in the Pick-4 and the 7 won. In the 10th I had the 9-2 winner. Three out of four again. It paid $421.85 for 50 cents. Tonight’s sequence looks hittable.

Meet totals: standard ticket, 18 plays, -$225.00; whale ticket, eigh8 plays, -$278.00

Standard ticket: 50 cent play: none
Whale ticket: 50 cent play: 14810/267/23/15 = $24

Analysis:

Race 7: I had to go four deep here, using all four of my listed contenders, 1, 4, 8, 10.

Race 8: I think this is pretty wide open but I settled on my top three contenders, 2, 6, 7.

Race 9: (2) Spender Hanover has some class and (3) J M Jet Set picks up Callahan and figures to be live here.

Race 10: (1) New Kind looks best here but I also used a potential longshot, (5) Mariner Seelster, who finished in :26.3 against better last start and picks up one of my favorite drivers, Andrew McCarthy.
