Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013

$1 play: 345/58/347/17 = $36

Analysis:

Race 7: We start out with the Winter Survivor series, a competitive race. I’m using (3) Carmens Best, who comes off back-to-back wins over the track, (4) Wit And Wisdom, who finished second to the top pick in last two, and classy (5) Laguna Beach who comes off a claim by live barn.

Race 8: I narrowed this down to (5) Love You Bye, dropping for Burke, and (8) De Vins Girl, who is also dropping down, but it’s pretty wide open.

Race 9: (3) Big Ten Champ likes this track. (4) Get It Now was in tough last time and should go well against weaker here. (7) Winbak Jake came into his own last year and did very well at the $15,000 claiming level, which is the base for this Winter Survivor series. He was in tough last two starts.

Race 10: (1) TSM Gabby Warbucks and (7) Come On Ridge are the obvious choices. This 12 horse field of slow horses could produce a longshot but I’m sticking with the favorites and hoping for the best.
