Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012

I didn’t hit last night, minus $16, which brings the total to minus $128 for the first seven nights. Last night’s sequence looked impossible so I’m glad I didn’t spend much. I could have played a $400 ticket and I still would not have hit it. Tonight’s appears much less chaotic.

$2 play: 25/6/5/1578 = $16

Analysis:

Race 6: (5) Corky Baran and (2) Andy Roo both drop out of the Open and I’ll use them.

Race 7: (6) New Release raced gamely from post eight, making an early move then finishing in :26.2. He won 19 races last year, single.

Race 8: (5) Great Vintage raced extremely well off a long layoff, pacing in 1:49.4, and I’ll single this classy horse.

Race 9: This is a tough race. I’m going to use four, (7) Western Trademark, (5) White Mountain Top, (1) Master Stroke, and (8) Another Homer N. I actually think there are a few others that are capable of taking this.
