Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017

Last Saturday, minus $100. I had two top winners in the sequence but only three of four, once again, in my play. The favorites are only winning at 28 percent this meet and the Late Pick-4 races are the toughest races to handicap. Consequently, I’m going to use larger tickets. My meet results so far, 0 for 7, minus $216.50.

Standard Ticket: 50-cent play: 23/346/12567/256 = $45

Analysis:

Race 6: I’m going to try to get through with two here. My Best Bet, (3) Mr Big Load, went :26.3 to the quarter in last and that is very fast for this class level. I think (2) Who Do You Like is dangerous off the barn change so I’m using him as well.

Race 7: (3) Jarnac rarely wins but takes a key drop. (6) Goinroundncircles is another obvious contender off a drop. I thought (4) Heretic Franco N was a good fit at this level last week and he didn’t have an easy trip so I’m using him.

Race 8: This is a tough race so I’m using five horses, 1, 2, 5, 6, 7.

Race 9: (2) May Day has been sharp but comes off a sick scratch, but I’m using. (5) Stormin Rustler is third off the layoff and getting a better post. (6) I Do Hanover is likely to improve.
