Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015

Last night I tried a $90 whale ticket. I had a $12.60 top winner during the sequence but that was it.

Meet totals: standard ticket, 10 plays, -$123, whale ticket, three plays, -$119

Standard ticket: 50 cent play: 267/247/23/358 = $27
Whale ticket: 50 cent play: none

Analysis:

Race 7: Pretty wide open start to the late Pick-4. I’m using my top three contenders here, (2) Urgent Action, (6) Journeyman, (7) K-lees Shakenbake.

Race 8: (4) Hunchie ships in from Yonkers where he’s had a lot of tough outside posts, gets Gingras, and is my top pick, but I’m also using two others.

Race 9: On paper this race looks like it will have a fast pace. My top pick, (3) Lennon Blue Chip is a good closer. I also used (2) Top Gear, a prime contender in top hands.

Race 10: (5) Spender Hanover is going to be bet off the key drop but I’m also using (8) Magic Tricks and (3) Rock Star here.
