Saturday night I went with a $12 ticket and a $24 ticket. On the larger ticket, I had the first three. I’ve hit the Pick-4 three times this meet. Championship meet totals: Standard ticket, 14 plays, -$26.40. Whale ticket, eight plays, +$214.75.

Standard ticket: 50 cent play: 1369/57/6/5 = $4
Whale ticket: 50 cent play: 1369/57/6/35 = $8

Analysis:

Race 7: I’m going to use all four of my contenders in this tough first race of the Pick-4.

Race 8: I think (5) Bossy Volo has a shot at a price. He raced gamely despite a tough trip in last. (7) Firstclassprincess is the obvious favorite.

Race 9: (6) Aria J raced better than it looks on paper. She was parked most of the first half. I’ll single her.

Race 10: This is a race where the favorite, (5) Gallant Seelster, looks tough to beat. On my whale ticket, I also used (3) My Last Chance.
