Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 8-11, Friday, July 6, 2018

I missed the Pick-4 Saturday night, minus $24. Meet totals, 6 for 47, plus $204.45. Note, if one of my Pick-4 picks is scratched prior to the start of the Pick-4 betting, the next ranked horse in my regular Meadowlands selections that are on the USTA website becomes the replacement pick.

50-cent play: 1479/47/189/48 = $24

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Penpal may be a single on some tickets, but she’s lost as the favorite in four of her last five starts, albeit at another track. I’m going to try all four of my listed contenders, 1, 4, 7, 9.

Race 9: (4) Tactical Landing sold for $800,000 but broke in both starts last year. Dangerous if he stays flat. I’m also using (7) Southwind Chrome, who beat similar nicely in last.

Race 10: (9) Daenerys Hanover seems the sharpest here and I was tempted to single her. But she normally doesn’t leave the gate, and that could be a problem if she doesn’t. So I’ll include (1) The Second Star and (8) Icommandmyspirit.

Race 11: (4) Its Chocolate Time is another potential single, but (8) Sweet Royalty ships in off a romping win and he did take his career mark over this track, so I’ll use him.
